The votes are in. It's time to take another look at what you've decided is our best "out of the studio" piece ever! Over the years, I have harassed a lot of unsuspecting people, so be sure to tune in to find out which piece you decided is the funniest. Then, the always absurd and gloriously goofy star of NBC's hit comedy, "The Office," STEVE CARELL joins me Monday. Steve is going to tell us how he went from starting out as perhaps the worst mailman ever (he had to drive from the passenger side of his own Toyota Corona and knocked over a lot of mailboxes on his route) -- to becoming one of the biggest comedy stars in television and movies, including the much anticipated big screen version of "Horton Hears a Who." I'll be sure to ask him about the challenges of playing a Who who can't be heard, and what his children think of their funny father. The mammoth-hunting star of the movie "10,000 B.C.," STEVEN STRAIT, will join me -- and who knows what will happen? Maybe we'll try to build a fire or invent the wheel. Plus, the wait is over! Make sure your faces are all warmed up and stretched; it's time for another round of everybody's favorite, The Marshmallow Game!

Steve Carell Gets Smart at A Premiere Cause
Massachusetts native returns home for special screening of “Get Smart”
to raise funds for brain cancer research
BOSTON – In the new movie “Get Smart,” Steve Carell, as secret agent Maxwell Smart, is on a mission to thwart a plot for world domination by the evil crime syndicate known as KAOS. At the Special Boston Screening of “Get Smart,” Carell will be seeking to thwart a different enemy – cancer.
On June 19, A Premiere Cause will host a special screening of “Get Smart” to benefit The Zachary Carson Brain Tumor Fund at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Carell will attend a special pre-screening cocktail reception, and will introduce the film and answer questions at the event, which will be held at the Citi Performing Arts Center, Wang Theatre in Boston.
The evening will also feature a special appearance by Duff and Mary Alice from Ace of Cakes. The bakers of Charm City Cakes are creating a Get Smart-inspired cake for the reception, and will be showcasing A Premiere Cause and the cake in an upcoming Ace of Cakes show on the Food Network.
Carell, Warner Bros., and Charm City Cakes are all coming together to make a difference in the fight against cancer. In 2005, Zachary Carson was diagnosed with diffuse pontine glioma, an inoperable, malignant tumor in the brain stem. The idea for A Premiere Cause was born from a meeting Zach and his mother, Roberta Carson, had with Carell on the set of his hit NBC show, "The Office." With the generosity of Carell and the determination of Roberta and a dedicated event committee, A Premiere Cause debuted, with a Carell film, in June of 2007 with Carell, Roberta and Zach in attendance.
Just three months later, after a 27-month battle with the disease, Zach died. His doctor, Mark Kieran, MD, PhD, Director of Pediatric Medical Neuro-Oncology at Dana-Farber, is one of the few physician-researchers in the country studying this type of tumor, which has a survival rate of less than two percent. The funds raised by A Premiere Cause will support Kieran's research and honor Zach’s quest for a cure.
The night promises to be a unique chance for moviegoers to attend a screening with the movie’s star while supporting important cancer research. Tickets to the special screening are $100 and doors open at 7:15 p.m. Tickets for the pre-event cocktail reception, which includes tickets to the screening, are $500.
The pre-screening reception begins at 6 p.m. in the lower lobby of the Wang Theatre. In addition to the opportunity to have a photo taken with Carell and the Ace of Cakes team, there will be a live auction which includes impossible-to-purchase items such as: having Steve Carell record your voice mail message, front row dugout seats at Fenway Park, two tickets for two shows at the invitation-only Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, a day on the set of The Office, and season tickets to the Patriots.
